    fuck robert plant.

i just watched an interview with him on youtube.

he states, ever so humbly: "we were part of a youth movement that was going to change the world."

please allow me to correct you, you arrogant snake-tongued lying sack of shit.

    you created EVIL SOUNDS.

and you (drum roll).... didn't change shit.

He had a huge revolutionary influence on music, didn't he?

Personally I like his work, and I don't think Rock is nearly as fkn evil as shit-hop.

Rock has some evil messages arguably, and it is about rebellion in large part. But think about what was being rebelled against when Rock came into it's heyday.... the Vietnam War, and the establishment that supported it. Talk about evil!

And squelching freedom of expression for the sake of religious values or whatever, don't you think that's evil too? Look at the muzzies in Mali over this past year, driving out and outright killing artists.

At least rock had some level of transendence, whereas hip-hop is *all* evil, in almost every message. Voodoo beats with lyrics telling us 1. commit violence 2. fuck and pimp "hos" 3. deal drugs 4. do drugs 5. be a 'gangster'. It's an entirely self-serving ego trip. Singing aobut your self by *name* no less, glorifying yourself. It's all "dark power". If some rapper has a history of murder, it just makes him more in-demand. Of course... they make almost all that shit up.

I'm not advocating censoring or banning shit-hop, just a mass-boycott. If the show is playing it, I'm gonna turn it off. If the café is playing it, I'm not going back. And so on. Even if I can't depopularize it, at least I can keep it out of *my* ears and brain.

i'm not saying anything should be banned.

but people need to be careful what they listen to.

led zeppelin's music is evil on a more subtle and sophisticated level than hip hop.

"and a new day will dawn for those who stand ???" is what? a NWO reference?

robert plant is a joke and a farce.

he appears to have been part of a band that wrote all this meaningful deep music.

but if you watch interviews of him on youtube now, he looks like your aunt and has nothing of relevance to say.

john lennon had a message in his music and was passionate and intelligent when interviewed.

robert plant is a nobody. the music seems to be deep and mystical, but now he looks like an old lady with nothing of any relevance to say.

and partnering up with country artists? country is also traditionally the crappiest most meaningless music out there.

    what a joke.

    even the beatles..

some of their songs are evil.

it's not an accident that Helter Skelter is connected with the Manson murders

quite a few songs on the white album were creepy.

the difference is it appears john lennon tried to save his soul later on.

Well a lot of music is evocative. Most everything is evocation really when you think about it.

We're all seeking beauty and meaning, and it's easy to mistake one for the other. Hard truth is exceptionally hard to find.

The way I see it, appealing to evocation, poetry as rock does, is not in itself inherently evil. Evil is harming others, yes?

Whereas Shit-hop openly brags about murder, violence, pimping, drug-dealing, etc. It exhonorates fkn CRIMES as values.

Not just appealing to some nebulous sense of rebellion.

Fighting for your family, your survival, land, or even religion can all be considered noble. Rebeling cuz you want to sell drugs, wear expensive sneakers, pimp, and commit gang-violence is total and utter shit.

It's also really shallow. Where Rock can put your head in the clouds, shit-hop is about entirely worldy and material things, like cars, "bling", and fashion. It's *low* and it's dumb voodoo bullshit.

    Hip-hop is played out anyway.

There's new rock out there, but it never comes close to reaching it's previous heights.

Then there's all kinds of new niche subgenres which I can't even name.

Like I said it's all evocation, for good or bad, there's no hard truth to it.

No deeper meaning beyond what one assigns to it.

The only people who should seek much meaning from it or define themselves by it are young people, cuz they're stupid.

yeah but maybe the electric guitar in and of itself is "evil" and listening to jimmy page play a guitar solo for half an hour at a concert conjures up demons in your psyche.

    seriously.

    could be.

bob dylan fans were outraged when he pulled out his electric guitar.

    and maybe with good reason.

Groups of people have probably thought every new innovation in music was evil. Early pan-flutists were probably persecuted.  Rolling Eyes

Have you the Chinese guzheng? That one is amazing! There's also a Chinese lap harp that sounds awesome. They should make an electric version of that. Electric Harp, I'll learn to play the shit out of that!

just watched the Tom Petty "don't come around here no more" video on youtube.

the songs seems harmless, but the video is mini-horror psychedelic shit.

have no clue why they do this. maybe just for shock value. or maybe there's a hidden meaning in there somewhere.

robert plant 60 minutes interview on youtube:

he had a 5 year old child that died.

that made him want to be a schoolteacher, but i don't think he ever did.

and he makes fun of capricorns. i also have an issue with capricorns.
